Under Construction

I am currently working on transferring my blog links from a regular list to a blogroll. Some blogs will be in the new blogroll and some will be in the regular list until i get everything straightened out.

Got em

A few weeks ago, Alexandra, Moriah, and I got these new comforters for our beds. We share a room and it looks so nice to all have new matching beds! The sets came with the comforter and one sham pillow-case. We are hoping to paint our room with colors that go with the colors in the bedspreads (we are thinking of a lighter brown and a different shade of pink).

Lunch

I would normally have worked today, but because my boss is out of town I was off. Alexandra and I met Kaitlin at Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch. I got a yummy Buffalo Chicken wrap and Alexandra and Kaitlin each got a smoothie and a half salad. After lunch we went over to Target for a little while to do some shopping. While we were there Alexandra and I saw these really pretty comforters and we got the idea to get them and paint our room in the same colors and also to accessorize in those colors! We still haven't decided for sure if we will do that, but I like the idea a lot. If we do it I will post pictures! If you would like to see the comforters we are considering click here to go to the Target website were they are shown and let me know what you think!

House-sitting

Well here at last is a post about my house-sitting with Lyndsey. It was a lot of fun, but it is good to be bcak home. We stayed up late every night! We each kept our normal schedules as far as work, church, and Access go. One night we had some girls over for a nacho dinner, and that was lots of fun.

How do you read your Bible?

By now the New Attitude messages have kind of blended together; in other words, I have a hard time remembering who said what when. I still remember several main points and overall themes to the messages however. A main area that I learned in and desire to grow in as a result of this conference is my attitude and treatment of the Bible. I need to be studying it and loving it-not just reading it to check a box as I do sometimes. Also,I need to be memorizing verses to use when I am in temptation-these can also be used to help another person.

I am curious, what do you do for your quite times? Do you just read or do you take notes? How do you take notes? When you memorize verses how do you choose which ones? Please let me know via a comment so that I and/or other readers of this blog can get some ideas of how other people have quite times and I/they may even use some! So give your ideas even if it does not sound very "wonderful" to you...it may still help another.

Eggs and Exams

Two exams down...only two more to go and then SUMMER BREAK! I had my philosophy and Computer exams today and I think that they both went really well. I have a Spanish exam on Wednesday and then a Biology exam on Thursday. I will probably take the rest of today as well as Sunday off and do studying (at least some) on the rest of the days in between now and my last two finals. I need to study most for my Biology exam.

Guess what is in this hanging basket?

Bird's eggs! I discovered the nest when I took the basket down and was watering the flowers. At first I didn't recognize what I saw but then realized it was a nest with one egg in it! Then I came back and checked it a few days later and there were five eggs! I hope that the babies hatch at that I can get some good pictures (if I do I will post them). One disapointment is that we can't see the nest unless we climb up on the porch railing and look in which we don't want to do often and upset the mama bird :)

I decided to copy Lizzy who was copying Katy in making a list of some of the things that I did last week. It may be boring:) Let me know what you think and maybe even make a list of your own either in a comment or on your own blog!

Four Weeks and Counting

Tomorrow it will ve exactly four weeks until SUMMER BREAK! I am sooo excited. I am also excited because my exams should be fairly easy. My Spanish and Philosophy exams should be easy and my computer exam shouldn't be too bad. My Biology exam is basically I regular test and I don't have an English exam! The only major assignments that I have between now and finals is a 2,000 word research paper for English, a project for my computer class and 2 short oral presentations for Spanish (none of these should be too bad :) Two weeks after school lets out I will be heading for New Attitude! I am so excited as this is my very first time! I will be carpooling with a bunch of other people from my church and we have to leave late Friday night and drive all the way to Kentucky! The conference runs from Saturday until Tuesday and according to my friends who have gone in previous years it will be filled with good teaching, great worship, talking, staying up very late, and more talking. During the summer I am hoping to do some extra work to save up some money while I have the time to work extra hours. I also hope to have some fun with family and friends and go to the beach at least once! Maybe I can even get in a trip to Busch Gardens! Last year, I went with Kaitlin and her family, and Laura. It was my 2nd time going and the 1st time to ride a major roller coaster! I even rode the Griffon! It was sooo scary, but I think I would do it again as it was a lot of fun as well :) Well that is all for now. I have a philosophy class to go to in a few minutes.

Free Time

I actually have a weekend without any homework due on Monday! I have some longer assignments that I may work on, but I have nothing that I have to do! This turned out especially nice because I have a busy weekend! I
have a b-day party/sleepover tonight, church tomorow morning, a baby shower for someone in my care group tomorrow afternoon, and Community Groups tomorrow night! Whew. I am sooo glad I don't have a ton of homework on top of all this. I will try to post some pictures of some of these events, but it may be a little while.

To catch up here are some pictures of Easter Sunday and also of the day we celebrated Simeon's and my Uncle's bithdays. The picture above is of my Uncle. Sorry these are all mixed up between Easter and the b-day party.

The book that my Mom & Dad gave me for Easter!
