Busy (but fun) Day

Yesterday was really busy! First I worked for three hours and then my family, my grandma, my uncle, and my great aunt all went to Norfolk Botanical Garden! It was reall pretty and there is lots of flowers! After the botanical gardens Stephen, Philip, Moriah, and Simeon had their 1st b-ball practice (Moriah is in Softball). This is Simeon's 1st year playing T-ball and Alexandra gets to be his coach! Yep she is coaching a T-ball team this year. Here are some pictures of Simeon's practice. After them are the pictures of the gardens (I uploaded them in the wrong order which is why they are last; does anyone know how to move pictures around?)

This picture is of a branch growing into a tree!

I've (almost) Finished Reading a Book from my List!

I have just about finished reading The Treasure Principle by Randy Alcorn. It was a great book about giving. If you have not read it I reccomend that you do. If you have read it, did you like it? Let me know!

Cookies!!!

I made cookies the other day for a lunch that I went to today. I made no-bake cookies and omitted the cocoa and added caramel chips. They turned out really yummy. You can get the recipe here. the only changes that I made were to leave out the cocoa powder and I added caramel chips after I stirred in the oatmeal. Here are some pictures!

These are the caramel bits that I used

Pictures of the cookies as they were setting...they were not quite done yet at the time of these pictures :)

The empty cooking pan. For easy clean-up fill the pan with water let the water boil and while it is boiling use a spatula or something to rub off all the cookie dough. It makes it really easy!

Happy Pi Day (No I didn't misspell it)

Hi everyone, did you know that today is pi day? It is for the mathematical pi which the rounded number is 3.14 (Get it...March 14th?) You can find out more about pi day here. I did not know about this holiday until today....and I found out because my Mom made a pie and told me it was "for pie day" and to let her know when I figured it out so I looked it up and found the website above.

My Mom made some delicious pies. I have posted some pictures of them below. They are some kind of apple pie with a topping that includes nuts, caramel ice cream topping and more! Mmmmm

Spring Break with Laura and Kailtin

I am on spring break this week and I am so excited! My break has started off very well as I went home with my friend Kaitlin on Sunday after church to spend the night and another friend Laura came too! After church, Kaitlin and I cleaned up from the coffee reception and then headed to her house. When we got there Laura had already arrived. We had lunch and did some stuff on the computer and tried to think of some fun things to do for Monday. Then we ate dinner and went to Kaitlin's volleyball games at the church. After the volleyball games we went to Starbucks where despite the cold temperatures we all ordered frappacinos! They were very tasty, but I was so cold after drinking mine :). Back at Kaitlin's house we watched The Last Sin Eater which is a very good movie that I highly recommend for you to see. It was very late by the time we finished the movie yet we stayed up even later talking (Kaitlin and I even talked long after Laura had gone to sleep!)

The next day we went niniature golfing! It was a lot of fun and Kaitlin won both rounds. Then we went to 3 Amigos for lunch and then to some of the stores in the Greenbriar area. When we got back to Kaitlin's house we took silly pictures until Laura's mom arrived to pick her up and I left not too long after that.

I had a great time. I am so glad that God gave me such great friends. Thank you Kaitlin for having Laura and I over!

This is a picture of the deer on Kaitlin's wall...don't ask why I took it :)

We didn't have enough ones so we had to use a lot of change for the tip at 3 Amigos. Laura had the idea of making a shape out of it so this is what we did....I wonder what the waiter thought!

Here is us with our mini-golfing sccore cards and the free pass that Kaitlin won (at the golf place whoever wins the first round gets a pass for a free round the next time you come in!)

Tea Party

Last Wednesday I went to my very first ladies meeting for my Care Group. This month we did a ladies' tea. It was a great time of fellowship, food, and, of course, tea! There were many different kinds of tea to choose from and for food we had little sandwiches (the one I had had tomatoes, basil, and some kind of spread), chocolot roll, rasin sconed (with whipped topping, lemon curd, and/or rasberry jam to put on your scone). The food was delicious. I think that during the evening, God taught me about speaking up. Someone there said something, and I though of a response but did not say anything and then another lady there said almost the same thing that I was thinking!

Help me decide!

I have to write a paper for English class on a debatable issue. In this issue I have to argue for a compromise/find common ground with the opposing side. I have to use at least 5 sources and only 2 can be off the internet unless I am using the library database or an online newspaper or government source.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should write about? If so please leave a comment. The 1st paper I did was on euthanasia (or Mercy Killing) and the other one was on animal testing so I don't want to do either one of those.

Bye for now!

Cool Dressage Video

Hello again,
For those of you who don't know I love horses. I used to take riding lessons, and I worked in the barn at a horse ranch for two weeks out of the summer and volunteered at another ranch for two weeks the summer before that. I hope to someday own a horse/s and/or work with them and maybe even own my own horse stable where I will take boarders, give lessons etc.

Check out this really cool video that I found.
